About Eliot Schain
Eliot Schain’s poetry has appeared in Ploughshares, American Poetry Review, Santa Monica Review, Another Chicago Magazine, and Miramar, among other journals, as well as in four anthologies: America, We Call Your Name: Poems of Resistance and Resilience;
The Place That Inhabits Us: Poems of the San Francisco Bay Watershed; Bear Flag Republic: Prose Poems and Poetics from California; and Aspects of Robinson: Homage to Weldon Kees.
Schain’s own books include American Romance and Westering Angels, both available from Zeitgeist Press and a newer collection, The Distant Sound, published by Sixteen Rivers Press in 2020. He has served as program director for the Poetry Society of America, taught high school, and now works as a psychotherapist in Berkeley, California, where he lives with his wife, Mary.
